Amrit Sarovar Yojana 2022, Implementation, Benefits and Objectives
Hello friends, you must have heard the proverb without water, this proverb has become very relevant in the present time, that is, water is a very important element for the life of all living beings, animals, birds, trees and plants and human beings present on the earth. Is . Our life is nothing without water. Prakriti is very kind and merciful, she has given us water to drink in the form of rain, in the form of river, lake and spring and ocean etc. If we preserve the water obtained from all these sources and keep it safe, then we can get rid of the problem of water forever.
Crores of liters of water is obtained every year through rain, if we collect it by making pits and ponds, then we can get rid of the formidable problem of water to a great extent. Amrit Sarovar is very useful for us, along with increasing the underground water, we also arrange water for drinking, animals and birds, irrigation etc. naturally. Some parts of our country are still irrigated by ponds. Along with increasing the underground water level, the pond also increases the ground water level in the far-flung areas, which solves the problem of water.
At present, many works like construction of houses and agriculture are being done in the country by illegally occupying the ponds, due to which the ponds have lost their original form. The number of ponds in our country is decreasing very much, so due to lack of adequate protection of rain water, the level of ground water is decreasing very much, so on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day on 24 April 2022 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Amrit Sarovar Yojana 2022 has been announced for the construction of 75-75 ponds in each district of the country.
Amrit Sarovar Yojana 2022
The geographical structure of our country is very difficult, in India, there is normal type of rainfall, somewhere more than 120 cm and somewhere less than 50 cm. Therefore, in some parts of the country, there is a crisis of drinking water and a crisis of irrigation. The areas with low rainfall include Bundelkhand, western Rajasthan, the Deccan plateau and the eastern part of the Western Ghats. This region suffers from drought almost throughout the year. Therefore, there is a serious water problem in these places due to less rainfall. This is the reason that there is a lot of social and economic tension in these areas, so to get rid of this problem, our Prime Minister has started Amrit Sarovar Yojana 2022. 75 ponds will be constructed.
